| Artist Statement: | As a former professional hairstylist and salon owner, I have always had a connection with the creative process. After choosing to stay home to raise my two children, I discovered a passion for painting. At this point in my career, I tend to lean toward acrylics, using vivid, intense color combined with texture and glaze to achieve the desired effect. Quite often, my work is a reflection of my love to travel. From the mountains in Utah to the skyscrapers in Manhattan, I employ abstract and impressionistic styles to express my view of the world. However, there are times in which the marriage of color and texture come together to form a unique piece left open to one's own interpretation. New to selling art online, I am so excited to be able to share my work with others through Zatista. |
